SISTEMAS DE TRATAMIENTO Y VALORIZACIÓN DE RESIDUOS SÓLIDOS

ABSTRACT

Solid waste has experienced a disproportionate increase with respect to its generation due to population growth and bad consumption habits on the part of people who acquired products in some cases without needing them and who, after being used, discard them as waste, either the disused product or the different packages that they have, generating excessive amounts of waste that, if not properly, can be a source of contamination. The management of this waste has become a real challenge for government entities, since there are no policies designed to comprehensively address the elimination of this waste, however, there are institutions and companies, as well as civil associations and cooperatives. Who are working on the recovery and use of them. The objective of this work is to make known the different treatments that can be applied to solid waste for its recovery and use, through the collection of information and case studies, which allowed exposing the most appropriate methods and technologies for the management of these waste, highlighting the application of biological treatments for its low cost, reduction of household waste, less space and machinery required, in addition to its energy use.
