A comprehensive approach to E-voting: Perspectives in public administration, economics and systems
Synopsis
Through this research work, we seek to contextualize the implementation of electronic voting in Colombia through the mandate of law originated in 2004, i.e. law 892, which specifies and makes a preamble on the law of electronic voting to ensure the universality of access to political rights, with this framework not only empowers the participatory right, but the inclusion of the sovereign people to express their will under equality through suffrage; the research of theoretical type with empirical bases has demonstrated that the arguments of electronic voting are extensive, the different implementations around the world are considered the premises for Colombia, due to the fact that with their implementations they will validate an example for the country; The results emphasize that electronic voting is viable, the research resulted in two significant problems, the first is based on the cost of implementation, which argued in the long term is considered a significant benefit, the second on the reliability by citizens, This will be solved under the presentation of the ideals of electronic voting and the benefits they will generate in the future, also, when investigating the biometric processes it was observed that the range of possibilities is large, so it is the task of the regulatory body to validate based on financial ideals, i.e. budgets and efficiency and effectiveness generated in the process..
