Literature review: the importance of ICT in municipal management
Synopsis
The objective of the research was to determine if the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) contributes to municipal management. The method used was a qualitative and basic approach, using the systematic review of articles extracted from databases such as SciELO, Google Scholar and Elsevier. In addition, for the collection of information, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flowchart, the article registration matrix and the distribution table by repository were used. After compiling the data, it was found that the implementation of ICT has contributed positively to the current municipal management, bringing with it a series of benefits and new challenges; most of them have allowed internal processes to be streamlined, time can be reduced, costs reduced and favor a more direct communication with society. It was concluded that municipal management has undergone a series of changes, such as the appearance of new behaviors or methods that go against social, economic and political well-being, causing a series of problems that hinder the processes and the fulfillment of objectives.
