Disruptive behaviors of university students from the professor's point of view.
Synopsis
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the difficulties of teaching classes unexpectedly increased significantly, this process is known as interruption. Published research proves the frequency of disruption at the educational level. The objective of the research was to identify disruptive behaviors in the classroom at the Universities of the city of Riobamba - Ecuador from the perspective of the teaching staff. Based on the previous literature, a questionnaire was prepared with experts, in 15 identified items. A sample of 346 university professors with a mean age of 43 years was applied. An exploratory factor analysis and a correlational analysis were performed. The results show a lack of normative behavior in the family environment as well, produced by the abrupt emotional and cognitive changes after the pandemic and lack of coordination, family, time and studies, as well as the excessive use of social networks and mobile devices. It is concluded, the perspective of the teaching staff regarding the object of study and proposals for improvement are based on institutional policies for the coexistence of university actors.
